About the College
Valliammai Engineering College (VEC) was founded in 1999 by Dr.T.R. Paarivendar to impart world class education in Engineering Technology and particulary to develop useful manpower with entrepreneurship qualities for industry. It is a self-financed institue run by Valliammai Society. The institue offers engineering UG degree courses in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Infromation Technology, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering, PG degree courses in Power Systems, Communication Systems, Control & Instrumentation, Computer Science, Structural Engineering, CAD and CAM Engineering, Management Studies (MBA) and Computer Applications (MCA). It is approved by AICTE, accredited by NBA and affiliated to Anna University. NAAC has accredited with the highest grade “A”. The institute is spread over wide area with modern laboratories and infrastructure, well- qualified staff members. It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institute.
About the Department
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department of Valliammai Engineering College was started in the year 2001. The EEE department has excellent infrastructure and is currently served by a team of 25 well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculties whose specialization spans around major areas in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department prides for its 12 state-of-the-art laboratories with modern equipment, and it also has AICTE sanctioned two Modernization and Removal of Obsolescence (MODROBS) schemes for Electrical Machines Lab and Electronic Devices and Circuits laboratory. The department also offers, Post Graduate programme in Power Systems Engineering since 2010.
About the Conference
The prime objective of the National Conference on Emerging Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (NCEEE ’15) is to establish an effective channel of communication between researchers and practitioners to explore establishment of new concepts. The conference provides a platform for dissemination of knowledge by presenting recent research results, new developments and novel concepts in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The outcome of the conference will undoubtedly provide a foundation for the future prospects of technological advancements.
Call for papers
Original contributions from on-going and unpublished research work / surveys are expected from the authors. Each paper must be accompanied by an abstract and should be prepared as per the guidelines summarized below.
Maximum length of the paper should not exceed 6 pages (two columns).
The paper should be typed carefully as a camera ready copy adhering to the instructions posted on the website: www.valliammai.co.in
The paper in MS-word format should be emailed to nceeevec@gmail.com

Registration Fee
PG students : Rs. 500
Research Scholars & Academicians : Rs. 700
Participants from Industries : Rs. 1000
The registration fee should be sent by DD in favour of “The Principal, Valliammai Engineering College”, payable at Chennai. The fee includes Conference materials, refreshments and lunch.
Journal / Proceeding Publication : All accepted papers will be published in the International Journal of Applied Engineering Research (Anna University Annexure II) with ISSN Number of 9734562.
